I was experiencing chronic hip and back pain post arthroscopic surgery for a labral tear in my right hip. I felt stiff in the hip joint every morning and had aching pain sporadically throughout the day, despite completing my physical therapy. As a trained dancer growing up, this was frustrating and really difficult emotionally to be constantly reminded of my limitations. My goal was to be pain-free without medication. Michelle was thorough in her assessment and she suggested daily stability and mobility exercises that were so simple and straight forward. I was a bit skeptical they would relieve my severe pain, but I was amazed at my improvement. I no longer experience hip pain and have not thrown out my back since receiving treatment from Michelle. I highly recommend her services.

Michelle was my last shot before going to the doctor because of the constant hip pain radiating down my leg. I was beginning to rely on ibuprofen every day just to do basic activities like walking my dogs or even sleeping. I didn’t want to rely on medicine and was fearful I would have to get a hip replacement. Michelle listened intently and asked a lot of questions. We worked on breathing exercises and a few exercises to stabilize the joint. Later she recommended I incorporate changes in my diet to help with inflammation. I was surprised that after just a week or two, the pain started to dissipate and I began sleeping through the night. Michelle is warm and gentle and I appreciate her holistic approach to helping her clients.

I was experiencing a lot of tenderness and pain in my shoulder, due to injury and my ongoing arthritis. As a very active person involved in sports and with a physically demanding career, I really needed to find some relief and get sleep but feared I would live with chronic pain forever. Initially, Michelle suggested I do some breath work to help ease the pain, check in with my posture throughout the day, and ultimately we moved on to yoga and various exercises. I noticed a significant improvement within days and returned to normal functioning in 1 week. Now I sleep with almost no pain and have resumed my usual activities. Although I can’t fix my arthritis, thanks to Michelle, I know there are definitely actions I can take to relieve the pain.
